How to uninstall rpcbind
To uninstall rpcbind just follow these instructions.
Uninstall just rpcbind
sudo apt-get remove rpcbind
This will remove just the rpcbind package itself.
Uninstall rpcbind and it's dependencies
sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove rpcbind
This will remove the rpcbind package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.
Purging your config/data too
If you also want to delete your local/config files for rpcbind then this will work.
Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge rpcbind
Or similarly, like this
sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove rpcbind
